About North Park Beer Company

North Park Beer Company is one of the best breweries in San Diego. We said it. We mean it.

Their original location, on University Ave in North Park, is a huge beer hall with a large downstairs, as well as an upstairs area that has arcade games, shuffleboard, and is often uninhabited enough during the weekdays to bring a child or two without disturbing anyone. They have a restaurant inside – Mastiff North Park – that serves brats and other bar food. This is the perfect location for large groups as the place is massive and open.

North Park Beer Co. specializes in DDH IPAs and West Coast IPAs, though they have plenty of other options and often host guest taps.

Behind The Counter

Started by a local San Diegan and video game designer Kelsey McNair when he began brewing beers out of his garage in 2004, North Park Beer Company opened its first brick and mortar brewery in 2016 and has not looked back since. Still locally owned an operated by Kelsey and his also-former-game-designer wife Amanda, it is one of the best breweries in San Diego, if not Southern California. A true a local gem.
