About The Iconic Coffee Club
A unique collaboration, The Iconic Coffee Club is both a craft coffee house and a small fitness studio for Pilates located in Bankers Hill. Taking a Pilates class is not required to enjoy their coffee, but it is encouraged.
Inside is a small, cozy room with two tables, and some nice home goods and merchandise to purchase. The menu packs a serious punch of craftiness and is dedicated to providing premium coffee from local, high-quality roasters.Try a single pour-over with “watermelon co-fermented” coffee beans (yes, it’s as unique and delicious as it sounds) or a more classic lattes and other cafe beverages. Pair that with some tasty sweets from a local bakery if you’re hungry.
The Pilates studio is located behind the coffee shop and is instructed by the owner. You can schedule small group sessions, or private ones tailored to your individual needs, all emphasizing safe and proper techniques.
Is the place iconic? It does perfectly fit the wellness and craft vibes that come with San Diego, so we certainly think so.

Behind The Counter
What is your name and what do you do there?
We are Curtis and Vanessa – the owners of The Iconic.
What do you wish more people knew about your place?
We wish people knew that we make all of our syrups from raw local honey that we source from San Diego Bee Sanctuary. We’d also love to get more of a spotlight on our Pilates studio just behind the coffee shop!
What do you recommend for newcomers at your place?
We highly recommend the Vanilla Bean Latte (we scrape the beans right out of the pods ourselves and infuse our honey!) or any of our seasonal flavors (also meticulously and lovingly made!) to newcomers.
Besides your place (of course), what is your favorite spot to eat/drink/visit in San Diego?
If not at our own shop, you can find us hanging out with our friends (and roasters) at Necessity or Vigilante. We also love Thai food from Bangkok Bay Thai in Solana Beach!
Anything else you’d like San Diego to know?
While some may find our shop a little unassuming, we think that’s what makes it such a gem with that iconic hole-in-the-wall charm. All of our products, including our personally tailored Pilates sessions, are of the highest quality and we let them do the talking rather than relying solely on aesthetic. You have to know to know
