About Pigment

Pigment is by far the best gift shop in San Diego, but it is so much more than a gift shop. Pigment is also a great plant store. It is a great clothing store. It is a great furniture store. Essentially, if you are feeling the urge to upgrade your aesthetic and tastefully accessorize your life – Pigment is where you want to go.

Pigment has three locations – the original in North Park, one in Liberty Station, and one in Del Mar. The stores themselves are all beautifully and thoughtfully laid out with items for sale grouped together by color scheme and style. You will inevitably have the urge to buy everything in the store, so that your house and life would look like a Pigment store, but somehow you will know in the back of your mind even if you did that you wouldn’t be able to recreate the aesthetic of the place. We have tried.

Pigment has great taste so you can trust what they have on the shelves is good quality. They find many of their items through word of mouth and sourcing from local artists. They have an eclectic selection – a little something for everyone – making Pigment our go to place in San Diego for buying gifts.

They also host workshops for the community where you can learn to make macrame plant hangers, floral arrangements, candles, and more.

Behind The Counter

Pigment is owned by local San Diegan husband and wife Chad Anglin and Amy Paul. The location initially opened in 2007 as an art studio for Paul, but morphed into the art-centric store it is today. They try to source their gifts from local artists as much as possible.
