About Pop Pie Co

Pop Pie Co is what you want out of a pie shop: it is cozy, it is friendly, and it is constantly emitting an aroma of doughy golden crust onto the street, attracting patrons who float through the air in a trance, like so many porky piglets.

Pop Pie serves hand-held savory and sweet pies with delectable, all-butter crusts, and each location functions as both a morning pie shop (serving coffee) and an evening pie shop (serving beer), so use it how you see fit. They have pastries as well – sausage rolls, cookies, guava cream cheese pastries (best thing on the menu), and homemade pop tarts. If you’re not often in the neighborhood, they have an entire freezer of frozen pies to bring home and enjoy for another time.

Pop Pie’s original location is in University Heights, but they have spots in PB, Point Loma, and South Park as well.

Behind The Counter

Pop Pie is owned by local San Diego business partners and couple Gan Suebsarakham and Steven Torres, also owners of locally famous Stella Jeans Ice Cream, all part of the Sweet and Savory Collection. They make an effort to source local ingredients and their coffee comes from a rotating list of local San Diego coffee roasters.
