About The Crack Shack – Little Italy
The Crack Shack has beer, cocktails, picnic tables, corn hole, and some of the best fried chicken in San Diego. It is our favorite casual spot in Little Italy for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is large, casual, and all outdoors because this is San Diego and you can do that here. They serve fried chicken sandwiches, bowls, salads, kids meals, and of course, buckets. The firebird sandwich is a go to if you want some spice in your life, but in the end you should probably just get a bucket of fried chicken because why mess with perfection?

Behind The Counter
The Crack Shack is owned by local restauranteur Michael Rosen, who also owns Juniper and Ivy. Local celebrity chef Richard Blais at some point had some hands in the enterprise too. The original location in Little Italy might become something of an icon if the national expansion of the restaurant goes as planned. It could be something like eating at the original In-N-Out. While it may be expanding and conglomerating, this original location still holds nostalgic appeal and is a truly local spot in San Diego
